When snuffing candles, beware of blowing too hard as you could blow molten wax about.

Candle dye can move onto the surface it is standing on - always place a candle on a stand or holder to prevent this from happening.

Wax can leak onto valuables, always consider whether the holder is adequate to catch any dripping wax.

Do not position lighted candles where people are likely to reach over and burn their garments.
