Northern-Lites was borne out of a hobby. We started making candles in our kitchen using an old milk pan to melt the wax and for raw materials we used the remains of old candles which we had previously burnt.

We enjoyed this early candlemaking adventure so much so that we decided to take it a bit further and bought a selection of candle making materials. We slowly introduced these early homemade candles to our friends and family and as a result they asked if we could produce candles for them using a particular scent or colour. With a little bit of trial and error and not to mention fun along the way we finally started to produce candles to a particular recipe.

We had good response to the early candles so we decided to form Northern-lites and we now produce candles on a larger scale.

Our candles are available to buy via several retail outlets in the Yorkshire area as well as in a couple of our favourite restaurants. We also attend many craft fairs throughout the Yorkshire region.

We currently have a small but simplistic range and are working on a range of new candles to fit in with today's lifestyle and these will be launched towards the end of the year.

We are able to produce special one-off orders for weddings, tailoring the candles to the customer's specific requirements.
